It's A Frantastic Life: My new adventure

I have been in Chitagong for two days. I'm staying is a very nice facility and all my needs are met quickly. Yesterday we toured the Eye Institute. There were hundreds of patients, all ages, It is overwhelming. There are individual clinics for each individual care need, cataract, glauma etc. They also grind lenses and make glasses for patients. A very interesting process. The clinic has very modern equipment for patient examination and treatment, incl, lasers.

Departed Detroit @ 1230 Tuesday and arrived Bangkok 1230 a.m. Thursday. Slept from 0230-0500 then wide awake.Had a wonderful breakfast in a rooftop cafe. Taking lots of pictures. Will load later.

This morning I started malaria prophylaxis and am carefully considering what to pack and trying not to forget anything.

My new adventure

This time next week I will be on my way to Bangladesh by way of Bangkok. I will be working with Global Health Services Network to build an operating room in the a new 300 bed hospital  in Chittagong. We will be visiting hospitals in Bangkok and Bangladesh and planning for the  new hospital. This  great opportunity provides a personal purpose and a mechanism for helping  to helping others.
